COMMUNITY
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY is an organization we really believe in. We make a living through assisting our clients to find a great place to call home, or to sell a home they own. Those of us who are home-owners are very fortunate and our team believes that home ownership is key to creating a healthy environment for families and a positive future for our communities.
We make a donation to Habitat with every purchase or sale we are a part of, and have participated in local “build days” as well. It was hard work, but a lot of fun as well and a great workout! We would definitely recommend it!
WORLD VISION is an organization that many of us are involved with. Whether we sponsor a child or a family, or donate chickens or a cow instead of buying Christmas gifts at the mall, we believe that each one of us can make a difference and have a positive impact in our world.
We also support other local charities such as the SPCA and Cornerstone Counselling, by contributing to silent auctions and in other fundraising endeavours.
GOING GREENER We work in a profession which relies heavily on paper for everything from contracts to client files and marketng. At SCHMIDT we are working hard to reduce our environmental footprint any way we can. We recently began offering our Newsletter in an email format and switched to an E-Fax system that delivers faxes straight to our email eliminating many unneccessary printed pages.
